“Finally, let us not underestimate the proprium of all extreme, and in particular sectarian veneration: it extinguishes the original often painfully unfamiliar traits and idiosyncrasies in the revered being—it even fails to see them. One has to regret that no Dostoevsky lived in the neighborhood of this most interesting decadent; I mean someone who could feel the thrilling fascination of such combination of the sublime, the sick, and the childish.” —Nietzsche’s mention of Dostoevsky in the “The Anti-Christ.” It amused me to see this! I love when worlds converge.

hes come awfully close...at least bush would have issued a statement in support of the people by now.... but you're right...there is a HUGE difference between public and closed door...but a big of public encouragement goes a long way

Yeah. while one can’t ignore international law, and the fact that a gov’t should remain very weary of thoughtlessly engaging in the activity of another country, I will always be forced to think about the reality of foreign policy in relation to statements made. Human rights too often come as a second priority to foreign policy consequence, ie—supporting the “right” uprisings and as well, supporting the “wrong” uprisings. Forgive me, it just seems as though history shows that US support falls on the side of economic interests rather than human rights. I imagine that the on going situation in Egypt is sensitive one because of the influence that Egypt has. It’s connection to Israel can’t be over looked either. That being said, it’s best for someone like me to stay out of debate being that I am entirely unread on the politics and demographics of the region.

unassuming

she exists and acts without the pretense of philosophy. while she may appear to behave in a way that, perhaps, displays an unawareness of some “higher understanding”, the true motivation through which she acts is one that supersedes any understanding that is normally expressed through the narrow confines of theoretical context. she does not behave in a way that asserts an ornament identity through egoistic self expression or posturing. she does not make claim on herself in order to draw eyes to her “enlightenment”, rather, through the purity of her will, she expresses a direct effective relation to humanity. most people, myself included, are vapid mouth pieces, vehicles reacting to the timeless redundancy of social quandaries.  she is a cool breeze.

the american idol version of a tragedy

the creative and wanton imagination of creative people who are bent on capturing moments which depict the “timeless beauty of love” are really f*cking us up.
